What is the definition of a woman?

What happened to us as women? No this is not some feminist rant. Far from it. Cuz that's not me. What happened to our strength? Power? Dignity even? So many doors to be unlocked. And we are born into this world with the keys to unlock them. Yet we freely allow those around us to have them and take them. What are we in fear of? Being alone? Are we that fearful that we've allowed ourselves to take steps backward instead of forward.

Once upon a time our mind, body, and soul were all held sacred. Now it seems we've lost focus. Instead of building empires and making contributions to society and the generations that are coming up after us, we're destroying the little pieces we have left. Having baby after baby as if that's become an acceptable occupation. Others having abortion after abortion as if they're robots with no feeling. Who are fooling in thinking this is "progress"? Out there calling ourselves independent women. Sorry but sleeping with a guy to get your bills paid and to have the opportunity to wear the latest fashions is NOT the definition of independence. It's prostitution.

It's not said to be judgmental. It's said because it's sad. It's said because we can do a lot better. You have to see it for what it really is before there can be any change. Why do we continue to put each other down? Why is there no loyalty amongst us? Why are we looking at each other as enemies? Fighting over unnecessary battles and using energy towards unnecessary goals. Is this really what we've become as a whole. Is this what we're raising future daughters to be?

Think twice about decisions you make. They affect all of us. They hold all of us back. They give men the reason to treat us as they do and to call us what they do. We all make mistakes. But to keep making the same mistakes over and over, we can't afford it. We can't afford anymore of this damage to the future generation of women.
It's not impossible, it just takes more work. We have the strength and what it takes, we just gotta focus. Stop making excuses for the wrong and wrong-doers in our lives. Time to move forward on our own two feet.
