Weezy agrees to multi-album deal
Lil Wayne isn’t just rapping about “a milli”: he may have just pocketed over a milli.According to Market Watch, Weezy has re-signed with his family label Cash Money, in a multi-album deal that will keep him tied to his roots for quite awhile. Though no specifics of the new contract have been released, the rapper coming back “home” reportedly has a lot to do with his last album, Tha Carter III, selling over 2.4 million.
"Tha Carter III is just the tip of the iceberg with Lil Wayne," says Ronald "Slim" Williams, who owns the New Orleans-based Cash Money Records with his brother Bryan “Baby” Williams. "The best is yet to come."
